Sisters Socials

Why do we do this?

The purpose of the these social events is to strengthen the bonds between women in Computer Science and encourage a forum for discussion and support. These events encourage undergraduate women to take a break from work and get to know other women in an informal setting. All undergraduate women are welcome at these Sisters events.

What do we do?

We organize various fun activities where women can spend time with other women in computer science. Some popular activities are Cookie Decorating, Pumpkin Carving, Ice Skating, workshops like our Speaking Skills Workshop, and off-campus activities like trips to Razzy Fresh and Half Price.

How can you get involved?

All undergraduate women are welcome to all Sisters events. We’ll be really happy to see you there. To know when these happen, check the Women@SCS calendar. Also join our Facebook group, where we often conduct polls to decide the time and nature of these events.

If you have an idea for an event, we’re eager to hear it! Please contact Elizabeth Davis or Nivedita Chopra (program coordinators) or simply come to one of the sisters events or undergraduate meetings and let us know.
